Obstetrics
Dr Bailey offers care from pre-conception counselling, through to early motherhood. She is comfortable with managing both low and high risk pregnancies, as well as twin pregnancies. Her aim is for a low-intervention labour and birth, but she is highly skilled with assisted vaginal birth or caesarean section when needed. She is also happy to support mothers who choose a planned caesarean section as their method of birth.
Dr Bailey is there for you, personally, every step of the way — preparing you physically and emotionally for one of the biggest events of your life.
Services include (but are not limited to):
- Pre-pregnancy care and counselling
- Infertility investigation and management
- Early pregnancy complications such as bleeding and hyperemesis
- Maternal medical conditions such as diabetes and thyroid disease
- Twin pregnancies
- Normal vaginal birth
- VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean section)
- Maternal-request caesarean section
HCF ‘Swaddle’
Dr Bailey is now also taking part in the new SAN ‘Swaddle’ program.
This is a fabulous pregnancy package, which provides a completely bulk-billed (i.e, zero out-of-pocket cost) private obstetric service, if you hold your private health insurance (including pregnancy-cover) with HCF.
This includes all antenatal appointments, the birth, the anaesthetist (if you have an epidural or caesarean section), the paediatrician review, all blood tests and all pregnancy ultrasound scans.
